workshops in schools
in apri 2021 i had the change to host a workshop in a school with students at the age of 13ish. i was very nervous because as an introvert it can be hard standing in front of people and talking about something. i guess it made it easier that i could talk about something i’m so passionated about. i found a way to connect with the students and work with them and help everywhere i could. it was alot of fun! after that i got to host a workshop with even younger children and that was very heartwarming. they had so much fun making the prints and told me that they would ask their parents if they could make prints at home. this made me so happy because i think linocut is such an traditional medium and it sometimes gets labeled as old and outdated. i’m looking forward to host lots and lots of workshops at schools. if you’re a teacher or know someone who would be interested you can find all the information here.
workshops are something i was thinking about for a long time. not only with children but also with adults in my atelier. so let’s see what the future brings!
